KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA announced the 2025 NAIA Women's Lacrosse All-Americans and Coach and Player of the Year. 48 Women's Lacrosse student-athletes were recognized as All-Americans across three teams, highlighted by First-Team All-American and NAIA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year, Kaylen Moore of Benedictine (Kan.), and the 2025 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year, Clare Hanson of Benedictine (Kan.).
The All-America Committee, comprised of women's lacrosse coaches from across the country, makes the All-America selections. The list comprises 16 members for the first, second, and third teams. Marian earned two honors this season with freshman
Olivia Dean and junior
Ella Grace Giedd each claiming NAIA Third Team All-American Honors.
Along with her NAIA Third Team All-American Honor,
Olivia Dean was named the WHAC Defensive Player and Newcomer of the Year in her freshman season. Dean led Marian in caused turnovers this season with 29, and ranks in the top-15 nationally this season in caused turnovers. Dean also has 45 ground ball recoveries this season, ranking top-20 in the NAIA while leading Marian. The freshman started and played in all 14 games for Marian this season, and scored three goals and dished out one assist as well on the year.
Joining Dean in the NAIA Third Team All-Americans is
Ella Grace Giedd. Giedd led the Knights in points scored this season with 71, scoring 41 goals while dishing out a team-high 30 assists. Giedd is second on the team in both caused turnovers (20) and ground balls (34), and has scored two game-winning goals this year. Giedd was also named to the WHAC First Team for the 2025 season.
The Knights ended their season as the WHAC Regular Season Co-Champions and held an overall record of 10-5 and held a 6-1 record in the WHAC.
