GREENWOOD, Ind. - For the first time in program history, the Marian women's lacrosse team has been represented on the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as junior Ella Grace Giedd was named to the At-Large All-District Selections on Wednesday, June 18. Giedd is Marian's first-ever lacrosse player to earn the distinction.

Eligible nominees for the CSC Academic All-America program must maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while having reached sophomore status academically and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games for the sport of lacrosse. Each school is allowed up to six nominations for men's at-large and six for women's at-large, with selected CSC Academic All-District recipients advancing to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America honors. Those awards will be voted on by members of CSC from around the nation and will be announced on July 8 and 9.

Ella Grace Giedd is among the selected student-athletes in the NAIA that will be on the Academic All-America ballot, as she represents one of four Knights women on the At-Large bid. Giedd joins MacKendzie Dresbaugh and Keara Eder of women's golf, and Tandess O'Neal of the women's bowling team for the Academic All-America Team selections.

For Giedd, the honor is one of many earned this season, as the junior was named an NAIA All-America Third Team member in 2025, while earning First Team All-WHAC honors. Giedd, a now two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete, led the Knights in points this season with 71, scoring 41 goals while dishing out a team-best 30 assists. Giedd finished second on the team in goals scored, and was second in ground balls (34) and caused turnovers (20). The junior scored two game-winning goals this season, and ranked 13th in the NAIA in assists for the season.

Marian finished the 2025 season with a 10-5 record, and were co-champions in the WHAC for the first time in program history.
