INDIANAPOLIS—The Marian women's lacrosse team had a historic season. The team won its first-ever Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship, and the 10-5 Knights established multiple records along the way.
Ella Grace Giedd, the team's leader in points and assists, became Marian's career assists leader during the 2025 season, ending the year with 84 career assists. Giedd's mark breaks the previous number set by Julia Robson, who recorded 61 in her four-year career from 2017-2020. Giedd, who is also pacing the career goals scored record, will have a chance to break the goals scored record in her senior season.
Giedd also tied the single-season record for player-up goals with 11, while setting the single-game player-up goal mark with seven earlier this season against Georgetown College. The junior also holds the career player-up goals record with 21.
In goal,
Katherine Hirsch logged the second-most wins in her career with nine, ending the season with 31, breaking the career record. The program's first goalie, Casey Monahan, ended her career with 25 victories as a Marian keeper. The graduating senior Hirsch ranks second all-time in saves in addition to her wins record.
