INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian cycling team concludes their 2024-25 racing season this weekend, as the Knights on Bikes travel to Wisconsin to compete in the 2025 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships. Racing begins on May 2, and will conlcude on May 4.

The Knights return their same team time trial roster on the men's side from a season ago, where Marian was the men's champion, while the women's have replaced a pair of riders due to graduation. Marian's women finished second in last year's team time trial, with Stephanie Lawrence and Nicole LaRue on the team to replace Arielle Coy and Liz Stevenson. 

Marian's women's riders saw Lizzy Gunsalus finish second in the road race a season ago, while Stephanie Lawrence was the national champion, winning the women's criterium race last season.

In the 2024 championships, Marian finished third place overall.

The Knights aim to win their 54th cycling championship this weekend, hoping to carry momentum from their BMX championship in March into the final event of the season. The Knights won the track championship back in the fall, and finished fourth in both mountain bike and cyclocross before their BMX title two months ago. The 2025 road championships will decide the season-long omnium, where Marian trails Colorado Mesa 226-204 for the overall lead.
