Greenwood, Ind. - The Marian women's tennis team earned three College Sport Communicators Academic All-District honors on Tuesday afternoon, as
Yasmin Imamniyazova,
Michelle Irigoyen, and
Ana Barbosa Fernandez represented the Knights on the 2025 list.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be recognized, athletes must participate in over 70 percent of the team's matches on the season, and carry a cumulative 3.50 GPA or better, while also being a sophomore or higher academically. The Knights trio each donned that status for the Knights during the 2024-25 season, while helping Marian to the 2025 NAIA National Championship on the court.
Both Imamniyazova and Irigoyen will be carried forward and considered for CSC Academic All-American honors, with those honors being announced on June 3.
