Marian Softball Earns Five 2025 CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball teams were released on Tuesday, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The Marian softball team earned the maximum of five players named to the 2025 team, with Grace Meyer, Jenna Minnix, Anna Pritchett, Lily Wendt, and Abbey Hofmann each earning the honor.

To be named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA or better, and participate in at least 90% of team games played as a position player, or have started at least 66% of the total number of team games played. For pitchers, players must pitch 35-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.

Grace Meyer played in all 57 of the team's games in 2025, and ended her career with a .396 batting average as a senior. Meyer tied the Marian career record for doubles with 66, driving 16 this season in addition to hitting four home runs. Meyer scored 43 runs and drove in 42, and slugged .585 in her senior season. The catcher made up part of the most successful batteries in program history, catching 99 wins for pitcher Olivia Stunkel, while being behind the plate for Stunkel's single-season win record in 2025. 

Jenna Minnix had a strong senior season, starting 46 of 52 games played in 2025. Minnix had the third-best batting average on the Knights' lineup, batting .415 on the year for a career-best rate. The senior played in multiple spots in the outfield and at first base, totaling 10 extra-base hits on the season with 32 RBI and 41 runs scored. Minnix recorded her second season with a perfect fielding percentage as a senior in 2025.

Anna Pritchett started and played in 48 games as a junior, and finished her season with a .333 batting average. Pritchett held a .951 fielding percentage playing in center field, posting 49 hits at the plate with 35 runs scored. The outfielder added four hits to her season totals in the NAIA World Series.

Lily Wendt led the Knights in batting as a junior, starting all 57 games with her primary position being first base. Wendt had a team-high .425 batting average in her first full season as a starter, posting a team-leading 21 doubles and 61 RBI. In her junior season, Wendt slugged .597, and carried an OPS of 1.044.

Abbey Hofmann had a dominant sophomore season, leading Marian in home runs on the season with eight while carrying the second-highest batting average at .418. The outfielder slugged 16 doubles and four triples, leading the team with a .663 slugging percentage. Hofmann led Marian as well in hits with 82 base knocks, and defensively made 119 outs, with 20 coming during the NAIA World Series.

Meyer, Minnix, Wendt, and Hofmann are four of seven players on the CSC Academic All-District Team from the Crossroads League who will be considered for 2025 Academic All-American honors. 

Marian won both the Crossroads League Regular Season and Tournament Championships and ended their season with a 48-9 overall record. The Knights ended their 2025 season in the NAIA World Series.
