Olivia Stunkel was named to the NFCA NAIA All-America Second Team, as the senior pitcher earned her first career All-America honor from the NFCA in her final season.
Six of the 10 teams who advanced to the NAIA World Series had players earn All-America status, including national runner-up Oklahoma City University, who tied University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma for the most honorees by any institution this season with three each.
Olivia Stunkel was named to the NAIA Second Team All-America earlier this week for the third time in her career, closing her week of honors by being named to the NFCA NAIA All-America Second Team. Stunkel, who was named to the NFCA Region VI First Team, ended her career as the second-winningest pitcher in program history, setting the single-season record in 2025 with 30 victories. Stunkel finished the season with a 2.26 ERA, going 30-2 overall in 34 appearances and 33 starts, ranking second in the NAIA in wins in the 2025 season. The senior pitched 18 complete games on the year, logging 195 innings while striking out 173 batters. Stunkel earned a victory in 24 consecutive starts, a streak that began on March 14 and lasted through the first game of the NAIA World Series. Ending her career with the ball in her hand, Stunkel started each of Marian's nine postseason games, carrying a record of 7-2 in the month of May.
The NFCA All-America teams are voted on by the Association's All-America Committees. In NAIA, the committee is comprised of one member head coach from each of the NAIA's six regions. All student-athletes who were nominated by a member head coach and voted to the first or second team All-Region squads were eligible for All-America consideration.
The Marian softball team finished their season in the NAIA World Series, placing fifth in the field of ten teams. The Knights carried a record of 48-9 overall on the season, winning both the Crossroads League Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
