The Marian women's track and field teams competed at both the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana University and the Sycamore Open hosted by Indiana State today. The Knights used these meets as their final chances to hit an NAIA Standard in preparation for Nationals in two weeks.
At the Billy Hayes Invite
Nora Steele hit a NAIA A Standard in the 800m with her second place finish and a time of 2:10.75.
Emma Edwards and
Hanna Reuter also highlighted the meet with their NAIA B Standards in the 400m. Edwards finished in sixth with a time of 56.08 and Reuter finished right behind in seventh with a time of 56.30.
Nina Marinkovic also hit a NAIA B Standard in the 100m Hurdles with her third place finish and a time of 14.14. The 4x400m relay ran by Edwards, Lange,
Maya Mundy, and Reuter hit the NAIA B Standard with their third place finish with a time of 3:51.77.
At the Sycamore Open,
Hadleigh Filipovich highlighted the day with her sixth place finish in the Discus with a mark of 45.20m to hit the NAIA B Standard.
Nhaydia Watson also placed in the top-seven in the hammer with a mark of 49.78m.
Delaney Teachnor led the team in the Pole Vault with a seventh place finish and a mark of 3.54m.
