Box Score Savannah, Ga. - The Marian men's tennis team closed out spring break with a big 4-2 win over No. 10 SCAD-Savannah. After the win, the Knights move to 8-4 overall and 3-0 in the Crossroads League.
James Asworth and
Mateo Guerin set the standard for the day, taking the 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. The Bees fought back, taking a 6-4 win over
Marc Soriano and
Iyan Cresens, followed by a 6-3 win over Juan Garcia-Tunon and
Ben O'Brien.
Guerin fought back, tying the match up 1-1 with his 5-2 win by default at No. 2, followed by Garcia-Tunon taking the 2-1 win with his pair of 6-0 wins at No. 5.
Marcos Ramos Cabrera followed suit with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles. SCAD-Savannah fought back with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 over Soriano, but
Jan Bartolome sealed the deal with his 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6.
Marian will be back in action on Tuesday, March 17th, as they host No. 7 Holy Cross at the Healthplex at 12:30 pm.
